Shirell Jefferson is a dedicated instructor, multi-business entrepreneur, strategist, author, and dynamic leader whose mission is to empower individuals to rise above their current challenges and unlock their full potential. As the founder and CEO of Scholars and Leaders, Shirell brings a wealth of leadership experience across education, business, and leadership development to help scholars and professionals achieve success that lasts.
Shirell’s professional journey spans 15 years of managing specialty and luxury retail brands, several years as a 5th grade teacher, and extensive experience as an instructor preparing students nationwide for high-stakes exams like the SAT and ACT. Her ability to coach others through rigorous testing stems from her own journey—having taken these exams along with the Praxis, ATI TEAS, and Real Estate exams herself and deeply understanding the pressure and anxiety they present. These experiences have become the foundation of her empathetic, yet no-excuse approach to coaching and leadership.
Shirell graduated at the top of her high school class while serving as Senior Class President. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science with a specialty in Management from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education with a focus in Organizational Leadership.
